Our Middle School, Years 8, 9 and 10, has about 150 students. Although there are six home groups where they are separated in boys- and girl groups, most lessons are co-educational.
But there are separate activities for boys and girls, like the “Dare to Achieve” program for boys, with its emphasis on outdoor team work and the P.E.A.R. program for girls. And every morning, before lessons start, they come together for half an hour in their Home Groups where they discuss issues of values, ethics and do the Rock and Water programme.
