Students from Djarragun College performed at the Girringun Cultural Festival in Cardwell, North Queensland 13 and 14 October 2007. There were the boys and girls Aboriginal dancers, the Eastern, Central and Top Western Torres Strait Islander dance groups (from resp. Mer or Murray Island, Iama or Yam Island and Boigu Island), the DC Band and even a Hip-Hop group. It was a great success and Djarragun’s fame has spread far and wide as a result.
